Hooray, the Great British Bake off is back! The fabulous new team of Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig hit our screens last week and what a start to the series. They have left us drooling over our television screens and wishing we could bake like the stars of the show – well fear not Kitchen Ergonomics are here to help!

The Great British Bake Off

If you have been living under a rock for the last 7 years then you will probably have no idea what all the fuss is about or have been wondering what an earth your family and friends are raving on about #GBBO #TGBBO bake off this bake off that. Well over the last 7 years we have watched the show with anticipation as the selected bakers from all over the UK challenge one another in a bake off. The challenges consist of a Signature Bake, Technical Bake and the Showstopper Bake and wow what showstoppers they are.

Signature Bake – The signature bake tests the bakers personality and allows them to show off their creativity. The challenge is to produce something home made, rustic and delicious.

Technical Bake – Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith decide on the recipe they want all the bakers to take part in they must all follow the same ingredients and instructions and produce the same finished product, they will then be judged.

Showstopper Bake – The oven gloves are off in this final challenge here is where the backers showcase their baking talents and skills. The judges are looking for the most impressive and elaborate creations that taste just as good as they look!

And here's something you may not know? At the 2014 Neff Awards Kitchen Ergonomics were very lucky enough to meet the legendary Paul Hollywood!!!

We kid you not – in February of 2014 we made it through to not just one but two award finals for the Five Star Neff MasterPartner awards and to our delight Mr Paul Hollywood was presenting – we were literally rubbing shoulders with the legend himself.
